Constantinople! Constantinople!!

This morning, I was standing at my kitchen counter and was simply making turkey sandwiches. Not really engaged or fully awake.  I had basically rolled out of bed and with one eye open, headed out to make my sweet daughter’s lunch for the day.

At first it came to me a bit garbled, breaking through my fog.  “Constantinople.”

But then, just as I was grasping that an unfamiliar word was entering my thoughts, there was a shout in my Spirit. “CONSTANTINOPLE!!”

It was so loud and so clear, there was no mistaking! Listen up!

I, still in my jammies, hair tussled, head out to start the car and I can’t stop this feeling that something is emerging! Something is happening.  Constantinople.

I head back inside and ask my son, “What does Constantinople mean to you?”

He replies, “Ummm…. (eye roll)… it’s a city?”

Yeah. No kidding.

So, I do what any uneducated parent does who resorts to asking their freshly schooled children and falls short. I Google it!  (Not that I am uneducated. I’m certain I have learned about this already but my every day usage of Constantinople is a bit rusty. Especially since  I was unsure of even how to spell it. And it’s not exactly something I need to refer to when making cheese raviolis for dinner and it’s not an item on my list of errands to run.)

So here it is, according to Wikipedia and you can find the entirety of the explanation here…

From its foundation in the 4th century to the early 13th century, Constantinople was the largest and wealthiest city in Europe[6] and it was instrumental in the advancement of Christianity during Roman and Byzantine times as the home of the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople and as the guardian of Christendom’s holiest relics such as the Crown of Thorns and the True Cross. After the final loss of its provinces in the early 15th century, the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire was reduced to just Constantinople and its environs, along with Morea in Greece, and the city eventually fell to the Ottomans in after a month-long siege in 1453.

Constantinople was famed for its massive and complex defences. Although besieged on numerous occasions by various peoples, the defences of Constantinople proved invulnerable for nearly nine hundred years before the city was taken by foreign forces in 1204 by the Crusader armies of the Fourth Crusade, and after it was liberated in 1261 by the Byzantine Emperor Michael VIII Palaiologos, a second and final time in 1453 when it was conquered by the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II. The first wall of the city was erected by Constantine I, and surrounded the city on both land and sea fronts. Later, in the 5th century, the Praetorian Prefect Anthemius under the child emperor Theodosius II undertook the construction of the Theodosian Land Walls, which consisted of a double wall lying about 2 km (1.2 miles) to the west of the first wall and a moat with palisades in front.[7] This formidable complex of defences was one of the most sophisticated of Antiquity and the city was built intentionally on seven hills as well as juxtaposed between the Golden Horn and the Sea of Marmara and thus presented an impregnable fortress enclosing magnificent palaces, domes, and towers, necessitated from being the gateway between two continents (Europe and Asia) and two seas (the Mediterranean and the Black Seas).

From this, I am bulleting some things that are of importance to take note of.  As with anything, take what is good (what comes from God) and discard the rest.  This is simply history and if history repeats itself, perhaps we can learn from it.

  • the guardian of Christendom’s holiest relics such as the Crown of Thorns and the True Cross
  •  famed for its massive and complex defences
  •  proved invulnerable for nearly nine hundred years
  • The first wall of the city was erected by Constantine I, and surrounded the city on both land and sea fronts.
  • later, a double wall was erected.
  • a formidable complex of defences which was one of the most sophisticated of Antiquity and the city was built intentionally on seven hills.  (Makes me think of Lance Wallnou’s, The 7 Mountain Mandate)

Is there a Constantine arising?

Isaiah 60:18, Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.

Turn of Events

I was doing some studying this morning and came across this particular passage in 1 Kings 12 (at bottom of page).  Verse 15 speaks so loudly to me and I believe that we have witnessed a “turn of events from the Lord.”

The New John Gill Exposition of the Bible says this about it.

for  it was a turn of events from the LORD

….it was according to his will and appointment; the defection of the people was willed by the Lord, and various things in Providence turned up to alienate their minds from Rehoboam, and dispose them to a revolt from him in favour of Jeroboam; and the Lord suffered the counsellors of Rehoboam to give him the advice they did, and gave him up to the folly of his own heart to take it:

If your heart is burdened by recent days by official political statements and immoral political strategies thought to improve standings and to bring in votes, read the above again and allow God’s peace to settle in on your heart.

The things that have been spoken and will be spoken in the coming days, I believe are according to the will and appointment of the Lord.  Various things in Providence are about to turn up to alienate minds from and to dispose them to a revolt from certain political viewpoints in favor of another.

“So the king did not listen to the people; for it was a turn of events from the Lord, that He might establish His word…”

God’s going to hear me repeating this to Him in the coming days. Every time something makes headlines, I can read these words knowing that it’s a turn of events from the Lord!

King Rehoboam Acts Foolishly

1 Then Rehoboam went to Shechem, for all Israel had come to Shechem to make him king. 2 Now when Jeroboam the son of Nebat heard of it, he was living in Egypt (for he was yet in Egypt, where he had fled from the presence of King Solomon). 3 Then they sent and called him, and Jeroboam and all the assembly of Israel came and spoke to Rehoboam, saying, 4 “Your father made our yoke hard; now therefore lighten the hard service of your father and his heavy yoke which he put on us, and we will serve you.” 5 Then he said to them, “Depart for three days, then return to me.” So the people departed.

6 King Rehoboam consulted with the elders who had served his father Solomon while he was still alive, saying, “How do you counsel me to answer this people?” 7 Then they spoke to him, saying, “If you will be a servant to this people today, and will serve them and grant them their petition, and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever.” 8 But he forsook the counsel of the elders which they had given him, and consulted with the young men who grew up with him and served him. 9 So he said to them, “What counsel do you give that we may answer this people who have spoken to me, saying, `Lighten the yoke which your father put on us’?” 10 The young men who grew up with him spoke to him, saying, “Thus you shall say to this people who spoke to you, saying, `Your father made our yoke heavy, now you make it lighter for us!’ But you shall speak to them, `My little finger is thicker than my father’s loins! 11 `Whereas my father loaded you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke; my father disciplined you with whips, but I will discipline you with scorpions.’ ”

12 Then Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam on the third day as the king had directed, saying, “Return to me on the third day.” 13 The king answered the people harshly, for he forsook the advice of the elders which they had given him, 14 and he spoke to them according to the advice of the young men, saying, “My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add to your yoke; my father disciplined you with whips, but I will discipline you with scorpions.” 15 So the king did not listen to the people; for  it was a turn of events from the LORD, that He might establish His word, which the LORD spoke through Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

Separation of Church and State

This morning as we came together for prayer here at the church, I heard a terrific statement in my spirit.

“There is coming a true separation of church and state.”

Here is my disclaimer:

I am not talking politics, or am I?  I guess the best claim to make is that because this is of the Spirit, I don’t know the difference.

What followed was this word from Philippians: 4:11-12, “…for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.  I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.”

For a moment, consider that this was not simply Paul speaking but rather the voice of the church! I sense that the church is coming into such a contentedness…a soundness.  What Paul was speaking of was true prosperity.  He knew what He had whether it was in His hand or not.  Regardless of the circumstances, He lacked for nothing.  Not relationally, physically, emotionally, financially, etc.  Nothing.

After this, I saw coins with Caesars image.  (Matthew 22:15-22).

Clearly in my spirit, I heard, Who’s image do you see?

What God was implying here was that prosperity has a different image.  We can look at money and clearly see the face or head of a particular man representing a government.  But it’s not that simple. Money is not prosperity. Not with God.  If it were, Peter and John would have been speaking out of a poverty spirit when they approached the lame man at the gate Beautiful. (Acts 3)  “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”

It’s time to render what is due to the Spirit of the Living God!  There is a separation coming between church and state.  I believe it!

2 Corinthians 8:10-12, And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago;  but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have.  For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

What do you have?

God is asking.

Dry Spells

In prayer this morning, as we were praying for revival, I began to hear the words dry spells

I understood this to mean that there is witchcraft involved as we seemingly enter into revival and then suddenly, there’s no sign of it whatsoever.  And by witchcraft, I mean, with our own words of doubt and unbelief, we are casting these “dry spells”.

To be blessed is to be empowered to do something.  All throughout the word, we see that when God blessed, it was to accomplish something in the earth.  The blessing is the empowerment to fulfill the will of God in the earth and in our lives. In the beginning, God blessed Adam & Eve and told them to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth and subdue it…having dominion.

God blessed Abraham as Genesis 24 tells us, in all things!    And if you backtrack a few chapters, God said it was in the seed of Abraham that all the nations of the earth would be blessed.  The same blessing of empowerment is available to all who believe and to be distributed to all who would believe!

In Genesis 24, a blessing upon Rebekkah caused even her seed to possess the gates of those that hate them.  We are empowered to possess and have authority over the gates of our enemy.

This “blessing” is exhaustive and I could go on for miles with scripture and references to this but the word says in Number 23:19-21 (Balaam was being asked to curse God’s people.)  “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.”

Let’s insert the word empowered in that passage and now what does it say?

Behold, I have received commandment to empower: and he has empowered; and I cannot reverse it!

Note that he received the commandment. He accepted that is was his own!

To command is to have at one’s immediate disposal, as in “commands many resources”

He received and accepted having at his immediate disposal the empowerment from God!

It is a command to bless and when we do otherwise by not confessing the word and speaking negatively, we aren’t necessarily cursing ourself but are stopping the flow.  Basically, we deny what’s available to us immediately and the empowerment to bring that thing to pass is at a halt or delayed for a time or even indefinately.

The word says in Psalm 1 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

Empowered to be planted, immovable in the rivers of water.  Empowered to bring forth fruit.  Empowered to not dry up! Empowered to “do” and prosper.

Proverbs 26:2 says, “…so the curse causeless shall not come.”

In the meditation of my heart and the words of my mouth, let there be no cause.  Let them be pleasing unto the Lord!  For it pleases the Lord to bless me!  Let there no longer be a cause!

Do You Have A Sparkle?

Revelation from Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium!
Molly, the one chosen to inherit all of Mr. Magorium’s store and all of it’s glory, was riding on a bus, trying to write the rest of her story…struggling to compose the last verses of her song, when she looked up and saw a sign.

Do you have a sparkle?
Take a gaze at the stars in Edward’s Planetarium

After reading it, she looked around, almost as if it had spoken out loud to her and she wondered if anyone else heard it.
Ever have that happen to you?
Now you have to understand. Molly didn’t want that store. In her heart, there was somewhere else she needed to be. Something greater she needed to do. Something left unfinished in her life. She had been composing a song since she was a child and she wanted to see it finished.
But Mr. Magorium saw something different. He knew she was to carry on His legacy and the music would come. It was all part of a bigger plan.
Shortly after she read the sign, she asks the accountant (nicknamed Mutant) a series of questions.

What do you see when you look at me?
Do you see a sparkle?
You know a sparkle…a reflection of something bigger that’s trying to get out!

OK! Now I was looking around just like Molly did in that scene on the bus! I knew God was speaking to me!
The word in this hour is “Arise and shine for thy light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:1
I found myself asking those same questions.
There is a reflection of something BIGGER that’s trying to get out!
Again…Here’s your sign!

Do you have a sparkle?
Take a gaze at the stars in Edward’s Planetarium

Father prompted me to take a look at the name Edward. Edward means “guardian of wealth.” Sounds like Jehovah Jirah to me!
In prayer and through prophecy recently, God has been speaking to us through the constellations. The North Star, Ursa Major , Ursa Minor and the big dipper.
It was by appointment that I purchased this movie and watched it with my children!  It was a sign to me! GAZE AT THE STARS…at the guardian of wealth’s planetarium! This is definite confirmation!
While attending a conference recently, Mahesh Chavda (  was a guest speaker. He said that we as children of God have a glory bubble that can and will effect those around us. That we emanate a different reality. Another definition of sparkle is to emit bubbles.

At one point in the movie, Mr. Magorium dances on a large sheet of bubble wrap that Molly laid out for him. As he danced, it made music with every step he took! That to me is a beautiful analogy of our “glory bubbles’, emanating the very sound of Father’s dance over us! We must give Him a place to dance! How He rejoices as the sound of heaven is heard in the earth, as we release His glory!
I could blog for miles about all the prophecy in this movie but only a few more inches I promise!
Mahesh Chavda also gave a testimony about how they are seeing many miracles take place of people waking out of comas. And one in particular, God spoke to Mahesh and said, “Wake up sleeping beauty!” And to make a long story short, he used those exact words to do so. He didn’t say a long prayer and he didn’t fill the religious quota!  Gasp! He just simply said what God said to him.  “Wake up sleeping beauty!” That was God’s prescription for that moment.
There is an awakening taking place! The coma is not a mere happenstance. It’s relevant to what is taking place in the earth today. It’s time to wake up!  Wake  up America the Beautiful!
At one point in this movie, the accountant fainted after witnessing a “block of wood” come to life. (Ha! So prophetic!) And these are the famous last words Molly said to the accountant! Can you guess? “You have to get up sleeping beauty!”
By the way, the accountant’s nickname, mutant, means to change! Things are changing!
You can count on it!

Recently during a time of personal supplication, I was reading from Proverbs 16:24 (NCV).  “Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, making people happy and healthy.”

Word by word I studied and ended up just hung up on one word.  Ever been there?  That word was honeycomb.  We all know what a honeycomb is, or we think we do but there’s more.

To make a long story short,  I spent alot of time declaring that I am a “honeycomber” that week, as well as praying it over my pastor and the leaders at World Lightouse and had forgotten about it until I spoke with Pastor Sharon this morning.  Then it all came flooding back and so here I am.  I couldn’t take the swell…I’m just overflowing with honey…again!

What is a honeycomber? you might ask.  Well, to honeycomb is to to penetrate into every part, fill, subvert or weaken.  “Honeycombers” are  agents sent in to penetrate, breakthrough and infiltrate for the purpose of weakening and subverting the plan of the enemy.  I love, love, love that word subvert.  It means to overturn or overthrow from the foundation.  And what is the honeycomb according to Proverbs 16:24?  Pleasant words or in my interpretation, good words! The Good News! The Gospel of Jesus Christ!  And just like He was the word that became flesh and dwelt among us…we are as He is.  We remain in this earth with the same assignment and that’s to get the Word out!

Anytime we declare the word, whether by prayer, warfare (saying to the mountain), deliverance (addressing & casting out demons), edification, or even by demonstration of the Word’s presence in our lives, it will penetrate, infiltrate and change things.  It will overturn and overthrow, subverting the plans of the enemy.

As I came upon this new revelation, Father showed me a picture of the honeycomb.  I don’t ordinarily post pictures but today I did because I want you to see what I saw.  There are six sides to the honeycomb ( that little “pod” that holds the honey). It’s a six sided container to hold the gold!  Not only that but it protects what has been conceived because that honeycomb also serves as the womb of the Queen bee.

The number six represents man.  You and I are created to hold that precious, life giving honey.  We set the flow in the land.  And as intercessors, we should be the spiritual womb for our pastor’s  vision.  We should pray until we see it birthed out.

Could it  even be a possibility that that honeycomb can’t be filled with sweet honey until the incubator is empty?  Perhaps the sweet flow of honey  that we so often experience comes from an emptying of ourselves as we , as armorbearers, see another mans vision come to pass.  It would seem that it’s almost simultaneous.  Just a thought.  A Holy Ghost interjection as I write!

So go…honeycomb!

Perish the Thought!

This is a term used to indicate that something is too terrible to be thought of!

I think that we need to use this term way more often than we do! How often do we despise thoughts that are in obvious opposition to God’s will for our lives?  Thoughts that can be defined as condemnation and damnation that would minister death to us once again. How about thoughts of sickness, poverty or even torment that would seek to rob of us our health, prosperity and peace? Or perhaps depressive or oppressive, tormenting thoughts, sent to suppress and diminish our God given joy!

We often don’t deal with thoughts as we should.   Because you see, if we consider it in only terms of ourselves, a thought would seem minute. But in truth, thoughts are not just an attack on us individually. On a much larger scale, they are an army dispatched against the Kingdom of God.  If given dominion in one life, they can take ground.  But if we do our part individually, to keep enemy thoughts at bay, as a body, we can go much further. His Kingdom can come and His will be done!

2 Corinthians 10:4 & 5 says that “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (PHYSICAL) but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.”

What the enemy doesn’t want us to know is that our thoughts are a severe weapon! They are impressive in size…so much bigger than his! We’ve got the big guns!

And we are to use those thoughts (vs. 5) “Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

In Luke 10:18, Jesus describes the moment that Satan brought his imaginations and high thoughts before God. He saw him fall “as lightning” from heaven! He was “cast down” and was subject to God. That same power has been given to us friend!  When Satan brings thoughts to us, he is once again bringing them to God.

Luke 10:19 says, Behold (see it!), I give unto you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall be any means hurt you.

See, the very same power has been given to us. To cast Satan down again and again as he presents imaginations and thoughts that, if received, can harm us.

It’s interesting to note here that the word scorpion is related to skeptic or skepticism. Doubting the truth.

And serpent refers to cunning or malicious. Cunning is deceitfulness but is dangerous because it is “attractive” or almost “pleasant” but with malicious intent. These are subtle thoughts that are deliberately harmful to us.

We are to tread these down. And tread has a two fold meaning. If we are to tread on something, that means that we are moving forward and unhindered in proceeding in the things of God.  A tread also is the horizontal part of the staircase. We have been given the power to come up higher in the things of God!

Now for Luke 10:20, “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you but rather rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

What I believe the Lord was saying here was not to rejoice or find our happiness in the fact that the demons are subject to us but to rejoice that we are in position! We only have this authority from a place of salvation. The place that only He can provide for us! You can’t cast something down when you are on the same level!

Thank you Father that my name is written in heaven. That you have brought me up higher in You. Thank you that every thought can be taken care of and from this place, nothing can hurt me! You are great and greatly to be praised! There is none like in you. Everything in heaven and earth and under this earth must declare your Lordship and your majesty and is subject to only you! I love you Lord! Thank you for loving me! In Jesus name! Amen!
